The heeled shoes are amazing for Front Squats. I managed to equal my previous PR after a whole bunch of work sets, so I'm pretty confident that new PR's will come rolling in soon.
In other news, my meat/egg/fruit diet is working out pretty well. I was 237 about a week and a half ago, and now I am down to 232. Most of that reduction has come from my gut, so I am very happy about the loss.

Nice man! You gotta let me know that diet goes! I know you said you're not completely paleo. I'm moving down to 165 after collegiates and I need to lose weight without losing strength. Have your energy levels been affected at all ?
Not at all. What I'll usually do is wake up, drink a glass of coffee or tea and maybe eat a small snack. Then I'll eat a big lunch (usually some type of egg thing) and dinner and 11pm meal after that (usually meat and some kind of veggie). Fruit is kept on hand at all times to satiate my need for sugars (I eat a decent amount of it). If I'm really craving sugar I'll just down a big spoonful of raw honey and that does the trick. Also, fattier meats such as ground beef, bacon, and sausage make the eating process a bit more fun lol.
