So, I'm thinking about just lifting raw at the meet. I signed up for the open mens, but I'm hoping they'll let me change. I'm still not used to my gear and it would be cool to set some PR's at the meet. Additionally, I haven't been feeling as strong lately in my squats and deadlifts. Maybe undertraining, overtraining, or maybe just stress from work and school. Just putting it out there, but I think I'm going to go through with it.

I would call Lance and let him know. Changing divisions the day of the meet might be tough, but it shouldn't be that tough this far out.
On the bright side, you will probably own all the raw 165 men's records now.
Also, you might ask him about lifting as a Junior? I didn't see that on the form, but it should be offered as a division.
Register Open Mens in the RAW division. If you're under 23 they will still give you the junior records.
Also, if you are feeling beat up you need to back off immediately in order to recover by the meet. I'm pretty sure you aren't undertrained.
Just curious, why does being overtrained make you want to go RAW? Not trying to be annoying, I just don't see the connection.
Being overtrained doesn't make me want to go raw. Pretty much the fact that I'm not that comfortable in my suit or shirt yet is my reasoning. I was refering to the overtraining as a possible explaination for my weakness.
RAW is knee wraps, wrist wraps, and belt yes?
correction: knee sleeves.
What would you suggest as a good pair of knee sleeves? Need to pick some up soon.
Knee Sleeves
I got Large, so you probably want Medium.
Ultra knee sleeves!!
Also, I have regular ol' neoprene knee sleeves if you want to borrow them instead of buy a new pair for this competition.
