I do have to admit, cross country running is a form of gpp that has been used with weightlifters before. Anything can be decent gpp as long as you don't get carried away.

I need to get back into shape. Walking up the hill on bwalk to the dorms makes me tired.

Clay couch to 5k is meant for people who have never exercised before in their life. You could probably do at least a straight 3k right now.
Running sucks. Just lift more.
