Your acceleration, well, that's always the goal, eh? You were too far backward/upright--you need to stick that ass out a little more.
Look at where the weight is in relation to your knees, when you start to go up it is behind them (suboptimal; this is why you had trouble--less leverage), then you adjust to bring it forward in front/on top of the knees (optimal--more leverage).
