Thursday 8.7.2008:
Completely gear-less squats:
- Worked up to ~323 x 4. Felt rough, which makes sense (still not recovered from contest/overtraining from previous weeks).
Cambered Bar Good Mornings:
- 4 x 8 @ 155. Not the time to push it, just wanted to stretch out
Hanging Leg Raises:
- 4 x 5
Saturday 8.9.2008:
Nathans spotted my beat ass. I was reminded how utterly un-motivating wooden center is.
Flat Bench:
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 5
255 x 6
255 x 3 x 4 (18 total @ 255)
3-board medium grip:
295 x 3
275 x 4 (hard; added headphones, selected Machinehead's "The Blackening")
275 x 5 (easy; Nathans can attest to this)
Chest-Supported Row:
3 plate x 5
3 plate + quarter x 5
4 plate x 3 x 5
Dips w/ belt:
2 plate x 10
3 plate x 5 (not enough)
2 plate + quarter x 7
2 plate + quarter x 5
Pull-down abs:
Worked up to heavy triple @ 150
Still pretty beat, but was finally able to get fired up again in the middle of the session. Finally beating the fatigue from the massive overtraining I did pre-August contest.
Starting Wendler's 5/3/1 protocol Monday.

Good work Phils. Remember to label your post "phil".
Also, you could back-date your older posts to keep them in order.
Also, a week off should be enough for anyone!
