UCLA Powerlifting Club: Update

Club Sports Update:

The Program Director of Club Sports
, Jason, finally contacted me yesterday regarding the status of our club. Though he/they admit our club is legit, small signs clue us into that our Club being questionable for the next year. Besides Club Sports taking such a long time to get back to us since we first submitted our application at the beginning of the quarter, he says that it was "extremely competitive" this year, and unsure of being able to approve us for the upcoming year. I will be talking with him this afternoon

Hence, if anyone has any selling points they would like to share, that would be great. Any stories, ideas, or benefits that we as a club team can offer, please post. I will be speaking with him this afternoon, and the more talking points; the better. If not, i'll try my best to convince him otherwise

I'm not sure how official this is; but, you could try mentioning how some of the athletic trainers in the Acosta Athletic Center were genuinely excited about a potential powerlifting team at UCLA (and invited us to lift there).

Or: the few articles we've had in the Daily Bruin, including our most recent one.

Trey, if it helps to know, the request for UCLA Powerlifting was approved by the student council. I talked to one of my rowing buddies who is on the council, and he said that they gave their stamp of approval when it came to them.

Great! That does..
Kyle, perhaps then you can tell your rowing buddies to give their stamp of approval on granting us funding for a prowler, cool shirts/wristwraps for the team, and adding me on to payroll somewhere as a fulltime salaried worker
