back and ready for action

sorry for being so MIA the last months. for those that don't know, i took spring quarter off but will be heading back up to UCLA in a few weeks for summer school. i took some time off of training but have been getting back into it the last month or so. anyways, i figured it was time to start keeping track of the blog again and start lifting some heavy weight.

and there's no way i could let kyle get stronger than me.

i've been feeling great on bench in the gym, but my knees have been killing me. i haven't squatted in a week and a half and i've been going conventional on deadlift. my knees started hurting after an extreme deadlift session last week during which i pulled sumo. i think i let my knees cave in too much. my form is pretty good for conventional since my flexibility has greatly increased, but i certainly can't pull as much weight as sumo style.

i'm gonna try to train at OC Strength Club on monday to do some heavy bench work in the katana. i haven't put that thing on in a LONNNNNG time, so i'm sure i'll be hurtin'. however, i want to hit 3o0 at 132 at my next competition (which i'm thinking might be the sept 12-13th uspf meet at venice beach)

and it certainly made me happy to read the daily bruin article last week. you guys rock.

Nemesis! Glad to see that you have returned. Unfortunately for the both of us, it is not just a competition for two anymore. The new(er) guys are getting pretty strong too.

fuckin awesome to have you back. come to 4 Star with that Katana sometime after you move back to UCLA.
Get you 100lbs out of that bad boy..haha

With you and Trey, UCLA Powerlifting has produced 2 of the strongest 132lbers in the nation. Good job Coach Dave.
