Squat/Bench

I'm getting over the flu or a bad cold or something so today's and Friday's workout won't be that intense. Additionally, I'll be starting Sheiko program #29 on Monday so my training days can be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Bench
125 x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5

Squat
165 x 5, 5, 5, 5

Kneeling abs
80 x 15
87.5 x 12, 12, 12

I think my conditioning is kind of bad since I didn't lift during finals week and I missed this past week, so hopefully I don't die from doing the Sheiko program.

Instead of program #29, I'd suggest you follow the program I posted in reply to Kyle's post a week or so ago ... I also posted it earlier in a separate post. (Check 'book club' or 'sheiko' tags.)

This is the one that you're referring to right? I'll follow that one if you think it'd be better than doing #29.

Since it's a 13 week program, I would anticipate missing a few workouts here and there. Whenever you miss workouts, do you just continue the program when you can with an adjusted schedule? Or do you repeat the previous week of the program if you miss say 2 or 3 workouts? I'm asking this because I'm taking the MCAT in September and I'm not sure if I'll be lifting during the week of the exam.

Don't miss workouts.

Missing an entire week is not going to do very well for this program. If you can make it, don't try a little hard not to miss the workouts. But I understand that life interferes with lifting sometimes. It is better to miss weeks that follow heavy weeks (say week #5 or the week after the test day). What week would you likely miss?

If I start next week, it's the 11th week which corresponds to "week 10" on the pdf for the 13wk program (since the first week is the conditioning week). "Week 9" has a skills evaluation day on Wednesday so I guess it works out since I'll be missing the week after that.

OK, then I'd say just give it a shot. If you can make the workouts during that week, give it a shot. Even if you only can do partial workouts.
