My arms are really weak and it's very frustrating having to do assisted pull ups and bar dips. Hopefully I'll see some improvement.

well scott couldn't do a pull up until a few months of powerlifting and he sucks at dips.

I'm actually a big fan of assisted dips and pullups. When I couldn't do dips or pullups I kept doing the assisted version and tried to decrease the assistance weight until I could do them without assistance. If you keep doing these you'll definitely be doing bodyweight dips and pullups in the near future.

Also, I recommend eccentric-only dips and pull ups to accelerate your dipping and pulling progress.
