155 x 5 -I was feeling these primarily in my lower back so I did a couple sets of lunges

You're probably feeling the front squats in your lower back because you're leaning forward. Stop doing that. Part of the point of front squats is to adjust your body to squatting upright and strengthen the necessary stabilizers for that.
