Highland Games Update

Talked with Dave Garman, the coordinator for the athletic events, and he gave me the registration for for the games.

Since we will all be in the Novice Category, we will be competing on Sunday, 5/24. You need a kilt and the hose in order to compete. It is a $25 entry fee, and it must be postmarked by 5/15 if you want to compete.

If you are interested, give me your email so I can send you the entry form.

What's "the hose?" Also, where is this?

Also, registration form. ALso, I'm in (Gary prob. as well).

FYI, practice or you will get crushed by a bunch of Lightweights (ie dudes > 6 ft tall and > 250 lbs).

Uh yeah....About that practice. Where do we (I) go about doing that?

I guess, more specifically, where the hell can you practice the caber toss? My throwing certainly needs some help but I guess I can find some rocks, but a 20 foot pole might be a little more challenging.

For what its worth, 5/24 is the Muscle Beach Push/Pull that I will be competing in.

ACH, DON'T FORGET YOUR FLASHES AND SPORAN.

Also, I practice tossing a caber at the marsh at the end of my street. That event is uh... really, really difficult.

Jake, you'll probably be pretty good at this stuff. It's right up your lane... if you were a 7ft ogre.

Although I expect that I'm going to win among our group again. ;P That's not saying a lot though, considering last time we got crushed by a 7 ft 16 year old.
