A nice informative no-nonsense video from Dave Tate:

nice video Kyle!! ... he makes a good point about eating normal food and opening up light enough that you can make sure you get some numbers in the books.

Also, on a separate note, I saw the video of Date Tate squatting at the IPA Ironhouse and he has one of the widest squat stances I've ever seen! I guess that provides for a shorter range of motion but at the same time I feel as though you might lose some power with your feet so wide.

One last note!! I saw the Dave Tate's "6 Week Bench Press Cure" video and he makes a very good point about keeping your elbows directly under the bar to maximize power and staying tight the entire time starting from the lift-off.

Haha, good call about the squat stance, although I've seen wider. Ken Kim for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWx_jhFxQy8

eat normally, don't try to cut weight if you weigh 175 and want to make 165 and it's your first meet. Cutting your hair won't make up that extra pound, you're just fat.

Unless you have hair made of steel wool like me lol.

Hey hey hey hey
it was 169 to 165. And I'm starting to think shaving my head was among the best decisions I've made in 2010.
