Mock Meet Results

Squat:
365 - Fail (Took it down too fast)
365 - Good (Easy)
405 - Fail (Hips shot up too quick, leaned forward)

Bench:
275 - Good
300 - Good
315 - Good

Lifts felt solid

Deadlift:
450 - Good
480 - Fail
480 - Good

365 + 315 + 480 = 1160

Most I have pulled off the ground in a while. Felt good. Found out by going wider in my stance and pulling my shoulders back helps with my back arch and lock out. Thank you Nathan for the tips.

How good on the 2nd dl? Smooth or struggling good? ;)

And that better be benching without a shirt for you! Heh. So, raw, but competition form? That's pretty awesome that you can hit those easily.

And what is up with everyone's squat? I think I need to come by and take control over everyone's leg workouts. Haha.

But, seriously, I love doing mock meets. Especially on the weekend, it always gets me really psyched up for a few more weeks of training.

Good liftin' Steve. Make sure to focus on setting up the arch when you deadlift sumo. If you get the technique right every time with light weight, it will carry over to heavy deadlifts. You might want to try "deadlift to knees" just to get you mentally focused on the bottom half of the movement. It will improve your leverage once you get it right. (Your back was better, but still rounding on your heavy attempt.)
