SHEIKO #21

Weight: 212. Time: 2:00.

Came in feeling really sore and tired. The volume helped, actually, and I feel fresher than I have all week.

Bench 145x4 (50), 170x4 (60), 200x3x2 (70), 230x3x5 (80)

Squat 225x5 (50), 260x5 (60), 305x5x2 (70), 325x4x5 (75)

Danny still thinks my squats are way too fast going down and way too slow coming up.

Bench 155x6 (55), 185x6 (65), 200x6x4 (70)

Accidentally did only 4 on the second "heavy" set.

A: Dumbell bench (hands in) 50x10x5

A: Good mornings 185x5x5

Looking at the meet videos you do go down super fast. If it works for you, who cares though? Do you feel like you tend to get a little crushed at the bottom or do you feel like you spring out pretty easily?

Spring out. If I don't drop fast I feel like I get stuck. Danny says this is wrong, though.

When I squat heavy I intentionally go slow because if I don't I lose tightness at the bottom and can't get up. You could re-train yourself but even when you maxed you went super fast, so it may just be your style.

There are people who do that ... like hoop, for example.
